The commandment I chose is “you shall not deal deceitfully or falsely with one another.” To me, this mitzvot is significant because it commands that people be real with each other. Not only should everyone be honest, but they should not use their words to take advantage of people for their own benefit. This is relevant to our world today because many people, especially in the business world and in politics, lie and cheat their way to the top. This commandment says that people should not use deception to achieve a goal or sway someone else’s opinion. I think this is important because honesty can prevent many problems. I chose this picture because I think this mitzvah can relate to everyone at Heller High as we continue to develop relationships with each other. Since we are all teenagers, it is expected that people will get into petty arguments. However, if everyone agrees to be honest with each other and respect each other, the arguments wouldn’t be as prevalent and we would enjoy the experience so much more.

In general, when people are honest with each other, relationships remain more stable and people are happier.
