Leviticus 19.33

The commandment which I chose to write about is Leviticus 19.33 which speaks of a general theme that should be shown and represented everywhere is respect for your elderly. The reason this is so important is because anyone who has been on the earth longer understands more and has experienced more explaining why their wisdom and knowledge is so important to early generations. I interpreted this as a rule which I feel I follow everyday showing even more respect for those who have been here longer and respect their views (not always agree) but always respect. Yes I can fulfill this mitzvah and always will understand its value and importance to my success.
This is a photo of our tiyul to the nursery in Ein Karem and we allowed the elderly who do not usually get to play games like this the chance. I am hitting a balloon with one gentlemen and this is a perfect example of respecting your elderly and being able to honor their life and let them laugh and enjoy themselves. If you look at the man in the green shirt you can see the happiness, and to me that is a mitzvah by itself being able to make someone smile and feel better. Ultimately, the act of honoring your elders and all they have been through is a true way to live a better life.
